About Frisco Retaining Walls

Retaining Walls, Repair and Drainage in Frisco

Frisco Retaining Walls is a local retaining wall company for Frisco and the cities around it. We answer calls Mon–Sat 8–6, schedule visits and give free on-site estimates for three kinds of work.

New walls. Wall types we build include interlocking block, natural stone, timber and poured concrete. Segmental block walls stack without mortar, cantilevered walls use reinforced concrete with an L-shaped footing, and gravity walls rely on their mass. The block, stone and timber pages compare them.

Repair. Repair work includes leaning or bowing, leaking or seeping, cracking, efflorescence and foundation shifting. The retaining wall repair page covers each one.

Drainage. Basic wall drainage is perforated pipe at the base, gravel backfill and weep holes. Without drainage, water pressure builds behind a wall and can make it bow, crack or collapse. See retaining wall drainage.

Where We Work

We work in Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Allen and Prosper, in North Texas. Each of those cities publishes its own retaining wall rules, so each one has its own page on this site. The service areas page links to all four nearby cities.

Frisco itself sits in both Collin County and Denton County. Its permit office for retaining walls is City of Frisco Development Services, Building Inspections.

How the Free On-Site Estimate Works

You call or send the form. We set a time that suits you, Mon–Sat, and come out to the yard.

At the estimate we look at the things that set the price of a retaining wall: the height, the length, the material, access for equipment, the slope, the soil, the drainage, and whether an old wall has to come out first.

Height also decides the paperwork. Frisco asks for a registered engineer’s design on walls taller than 36 inches, McKinney asks for engineered plans on walls more than two feet tall, and Prosper asks for a registered design professional on walls over 48 inches measured from the bottom of the footing.

Your price is set at the free on-site estimate. Typical ranges for each wall type are on the retaining wall cost page.
